From Command and Control to Collaboration

“People with humility don’t think less of themselves. They just think of themselves less.” ~definition of humilty by Ken Blanchard.

True story.

I would so love to see a conversation on this topic. So many people have collapsed humility with weakness. What if humility is kindness where the focus has moved to kingdom of me to kingdom of we? I will never forget the first time I realized how self-absorbed I had become. I was walking down the street in India one afternoon when I came across someone. For the very first time in my life, my attention went from what do they think of me, to what do they think of themselves? It was humbling, expansive and wide eye opening.
